FM Approvals is one of only three Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) in the U.S. that inspect industrial and commercial fire alarm systems. They verify compliance with NFPA 72: The National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, along with their own rigorous standards.

What sets FM Approvals apart is their unique perspective: they are also one of the world's largest insurance companies. Their inspectors are degreed engineers with real-world experience in loss prevention and risk management. When FM updates their guidelines, it's based on proven, real-life needs-not theory.
